EEF to sponsor People Development, Recruitment and Training award

EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, is a major business services organisation as well as the Voice of Manufacturing in the West Midlands.

The Birmingham Post is delighted to confirm EEF as sponsor of People Development, Recruitment and Training Company of the Year as part of this year’s Birmingham Post Business Awards.

As well as providing first class business advice which helps companies from multinationals to SMEs improve their performance, EEF ensures the needs of Industry are heard at the highest political levels within government at regional, national and European level.

Our tailor-made business services help customers across the manufacturing spectrum manage people, processes, the environment and more to ensure they meet their regulatory commitments and business objectives. These are often supplied in conjunction with major commercial partners.

The EEF’s services now span the entire age curve of employing people, from advice on apprenticeships and training at the beginning, through to guidance on the impact of changes to the Default Retirement Age at the end. As well as a major provider of HR & Legal advice on the entire spectrum of employment matters we also advise companies on Pensions and Benefits. Recognising that these are key themes for more and more employers, we are covering all the bases – financial, tax and NICs as well as HR and employment law - from assessment, feasibility, market review and implementation of company policy on all of these topics.

As a strategic partner of the Health & Safety Executive we are ideally placed to help companies manage issues such as sickness absence and rehabilitation as well as strategies for improving overall health & safety performance. Addressing the threats of climate change as well as the business opportunities from the low carbon economy is also a priority issue, advising companies on their waste processes, energy efficiency and wider environmental performance.

Our menu of specialist consultancy and training courses across all these areas are designed specifically around the unique demands of our customers in manufacturing, where we share the latest thinking in training to boost skills. These are delivered at state-of-the-art training venues across the UK or in-house, with insightful sessions and courses delivered by experienced practitioners

Business Intelligence and Insight supplied by our Information & Research team provides you with information on what matters to your company. We can help you find new customers, give you insight on your competitors, and provide high quality information to enable you to achieve results.

As a key stakeholder with government EEF brings the power of a national organisation to deliver benefits to business at regional level. With a vision to keep on investing in its business so that it becomes the service provider of choice for manufacturing companies.

As well as re-investing continually in our business we will continue to work closely with key commercial partners to help improve the performance of manufacturers of all sizes and across all sectors.
