Myhome gets thorough with its cleaning service

A new cleaning service has been launched in Birmingham for people worried about leaving their home in the hands of strangers.

The Chad Valley branch of Myhome Residential Cleaning, recently opened by Birmingham residents Hardep Panesar and Christopher Redman, makes all of its staff go through a comprehensive training programme and undergo a strict vetting process, including police checks.

Hardep has experience in managing successful dry cleaning shops in Birmingham and Christopher has managed several night clubs and bars throughout the West Midlands.

They were looking for a change of direction and a fresh and exciting business challenge that they could work on together and decided to go into the new business after coming across an increasing number of people who were unhappy with their domestic help.

Mr Panesar said: "Everybody seemed to have a tale to tell about their cleaner – standards might slip after a few visits, perhaps staff couldn’t be relied upon to turn up on time, or even at all! Consequently, I realised that demand in the area for professional, trustworthy cleaning staff was extremely high.

"We knew that Myhome took pride in the workmanship and reliability of its employees and provided a service to rival its competitors – so felt confident we’d be able to offer local residents a first-class cleaning solution, with the highest levels of customer care.

"Our service is flexible and as well as carrying out regular cleans our one-off cleaning services are also great for people in a variety of situations – moving into a new home, vacating rental accommodation and undergoing an inventory check or in emergency situations such as after parties, before family are due, or after the builders have been in."

The Myhome franchise was launched three years ago with a pilot operation originally developed and tested by Unilever.
