Shropshire firm devises online business planning tool

A Shropshire-based internet entrepreneur has launched a new online business planning tool.
David Harrison and business partner Jim Rogerson created Business By Numbers, an online programme which enables other entrepreneurs to turn their business ideas into a reality.
Business By Numbers was created with the current economic climate in mind, as rising redundancies have meant that more people have turned to entrepreneurship rather than seeking benefits.
The online business planner offers a step by step planning process into how to set up a business.
The site provides an insight into what is needed to get the user’s idea off the ground and what is required to ensure their venture is profitable.
Mr Harrison said: “The need to produce a bullet proof business plan is more important today than it’s ever been – in fact there’s no point approaching a bank or other lender for funding without a really professional plan that stacks up.”
Mr Harrison predicts the UK is set to experience an explosion in the number of new start up companies.
He aims to take the pressure off budding entrepreneurs by developing a simple system that produces tangible results.
And with many planning tools on the market, Mr Harrison thinks he’s stolen a march on the competition. He said: “We’ve taken the planning process to the next logical level by making it available through the internet.
“This provides a number of unique benefits which aren’t available elsewhere. Being the world’s first virtual business planning tool means that anyone who has access to the internet can use it. It will also instantly update any fiscal changes such as VAT and tax,” he added.
