Revenues at Ernst & Young are at a six year high after posting their latest results.
The international business advisors and accountants saw revenues rise by 11 per cent to £1.6 billion.
Sara Fowler, Senior Partner for Ernst & Young in the Midlands, said: “It has been another strong year for the firm in the Midlands despite the economic pressures we are facing. We have continued to grow our Midlands practice over the last three years and this is reflected nationally with the UK firm recording its highest revenue increase in six years.
“To perform as we have is testament to the strength of our people in the Midlands who ensure that our clients always receive the best service possible. We have invested in our teams across the region and will continue to do so to strengthen our position in the market during the months ahead.
“Our global strategy has also proved successful and our local clients see us as a global gateway, connecting them easily to international markets to accelerate growth.
“This year we also welcomed the Entrepreneur Of The Year awards back to the region with an awards ceremony in Birmingham which show-cased some of the finest entrepreneurs across the region who are continuing to find growth and create jobs in a difficult market place. The winners will be representing the region at the national awards next week and we wish them more success there.”
For the first time in three years, Ernst & Young in the UK has posted revenue growth across all four of its service lines - Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) revenue grew by 10 per cent to £306m, Advisory grew 12 per cent to £416m, Tax posted the highest growth of all the service lines at 16 per cent while the UK Assurance business
Steve Varley, UK chairman and managing partner, added: “I am very proud of what we have achieved in an uncertain market. We have posted our highest revenue growth since 2006, which in large part was driven by bold ambitions to go beyond the UK to look for growth opportunities.”
