Send Marketing is first arrival at Aldridge Fields

Shaylor Developments’ first new industrial scheme has secured its first occupant within days of completion

Midlands-based Send Marketing Solutions, the growing direct marketing service company, is to occupy a 5,748 sq ft unit at Aldridge Fields Business Park, Aldridge, following the purchase of the freehold for £500,000 by its parent company WAA, the integrated communications agency.

Aldridge Fields comprises six self-contained units varying in size from 2,249 sq ft up to 6,778 sq ft, suitable for B1, B2 and B8 use.
Each steel portal frame unit has electrically operated roller-shutter doors with designated loading and parking bays. Unit 2, at 6,778 sq ft, also has office accommodation on the first floor and a separate reception area.

The remaining units, which are available on a freehold basis, have a shell specification with WCs and all benefit from translucent roof lights.
John Sambrooks, Birmingham-based associate director in DTZ’s industrial and logistics team and the scheme’s sole agent, said: “Aldridge has been lacking this type and size of industrial accommodation for some time and, as a result, there has been a lot of interest in Aldridge Fields.

“The units have been constructed to a very high standard and this fact, coupled with the scheme’s convenient location and competitive pricing is proving a powerful combination for potential occupants.”

Send Marketing Solutions is a subsidiary of Birmingham-based WAA Group, the largest independently owned agency in the UK, and offers a full range of marketing support services from data profiling, customer relationship management, response handling to fulfilment of individually tailored mail campaigns.

Clients include B&Q, Arsenal FC, Symphony Hall Birmingham, House of Fraser and Virgin Active. Guy Chatburn, managing director of Send Marketing Solutions, said: “We needed to move to a development with suitably high standards to reflect the brands we work with, and chose Aldridge as it has a well-established business community and a high quality local workforce.”

Shaylor Developments is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shaylor Group. The division is headed by Martin Baxter, who added: “We are absolutely thrilled to secure the first occupant on our first new development so close to the scheme’s completion, which we view as a positive endorsement of the strategy implemented on this particular site.”
