Construction centre appoints new manager

The West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence (WMCCE) has appointed Paul Sansom as its new business development manager.

Mr Sansom has held a number of senior positions in marketing, sales and business development in a wide range of industries.

He has spent the last five years helping the University of Wolverhampton on several projects supporting SMEs in the West Midlands.

“We are very pleased to have recruited Paul to the team at WMCCE as we recognise the difficult economic times facing the construction market across the UK and West Midlands,” said Phil Wilson, executive director of WMCCE.

“Our pivotal role at WMCEE looks for fresh initiatives and opportunities to enhance our support to the many partners we have engaged with over the last five years and Paul’s background will be of considerable help to this development process.”

Mr Sansom added: “I am delighted to have joined an organisation like WMCCE which has such an important role to play in supporting the construction industry and economy of the West Midlands.

“In the current economic climate investment in the building industry is essential for future prosperity and I look forward to supporting the vital issues of sustainable development, training, good practice and environmental concerns that are crucial for all our partners.”
