Employment firm takes space in Cavendish House
One of Birmingham’s biggest recuitment firms has taken new space in the city centre.
Extra Personnel has moved from its base for the last ten years in New Street to Cavendish House on Waterloo Street.
The high-street recruitment company, which was formed in 1992 by Jeremy McGrail and Steve Price, specialises in industrial, public sector, commercial, secretarial and transport vacancies in the Midlands.
Mr McGrail, managing director of Extra Personnel, said the move for its 25 staff had materialised at just the right time.
“We have had our eyes on the market for a long time,” he said. “Our lease was coming to an end and we particularly liked this property because it gave us everything we need.
“We wanted an office which would improve our profile because we feel that Birmingham is starting to shake off the effects of the last couple of years and we thought it was the right time to raise our profile.
“Cavendish House is in the right location in the heart of Birmingham city centre, it is the right size and it gives us scope to expand should we need extra space in the future.”
Richard Fletcher-Brewer from property consultant GBR Phoenix Beard said the seven-storey Cavendish House, which is fund managed by Aberdeen Property Investors, has been refurbished to a high standard.
“This letting follows a string of well-known occupiers moving to Cavendish House including venture capitalists Midven which took 2,766 sq ft of space earlier this year,” Mr Fletcher-Brewer said.
“We are delighted Extra Personnel have settled into their new office,” he added.
“The accommodation meets their occupational requirements and I am confident it will provide the perfect position from where they can capitalise on the market as it improves.”
