SMEs, start-ups and sole traders are being targeted by a new serviced office operation in the region.
Dayoffice Card, the brainchild of former Regus sales director Matthew Stubbs, means that addresses such as Cornwall House in Birmingham’s square mile, Vienna House close to Birmingham International Airport and the Planetary Business Park near Wolverhampton can be taken on a pay-as-you-go day to day basis.
With offices available at more than 150 business centres across the UK, the model means that businesses can hire space in other towns and cities as and when needed.
Mr Stubbs said that the business had launched at an optimum time with predictions that the economy is entering a second credit crunch.
“The past five years has seen an enormous number of start-ups launch and businesses of all sizes are examining expenditure as they undertake cost-cutting measures in order to survive the next wave.
“The last economic crisis led to an increase in mobile and home-based workforces as spending-savvy companies became more dependent on smartphone technology and other mobile devices. We recognised a niche in the marketplace.”
