Property firms go on recruitment trail

Property companies in the region have been on the recruitment trail as the market shows signs of further recovery in 2012.

GBR Phoenix Beard has strengthened its office agency team - which let the most space in the city last year - with the recruitment of Angus Huntley from Stoford Developments.

Agency boss John Griffiths said: “Angus’ appointment gives a clear signal of our intent to remain in the top spot as leading office agents in Birmingham. Having worked with Stoford Developments, Angus comes with a good understanding of the property market from a development standpoint.”

Also on the agency side, Vail Williams LLP has appointed Charles Warrack as an associate.

Mr Warrack has more than fifteen years of experience working in the commercial property agency market, operating throughout the Midlands having joined from Jones Lang LaSalle.

Chris Cave, the regional partner for Birmingham, said: “I am delighted with the new appointment of Charles to Vail Williams. He will allow us to further strengthen our offering to clients in the Midlands and to build on the specialist expertise available from the existing team. There are many opportunities for us to grow the Vail Williams business in the Midlands and I believe we have a strong team who can add significant value to both existing and new clients.”

Elsewhere Lichfield-based Kingston Commercial Property Consultants has strengthened its profile by bringing Tamworth-based surveyor Graham Jones into the partnership.
