Letting agreed at Alpha Tower

A second letting of the year has been completed at Alpha Tower.

Graphic design and printing specialists Cre8tiv Design and Print are moving into the ground floor of the building, taking 600 sq ft retail unit.

With branches in Manchester and Stoke and its own printing press in Leicester, this expansion into the Birmingham market is a milestone for the business and is the start of further planned expansion.

Julian Perry, from building owners Catalyst Capital, said: “Since acquiring Alpha Tower we have invested heavily in upgrading the building itself, with a rolling programme of refurbishment to create a high quality working environment for both existing and future tenants.

“Adding to the retail and service offer is part of this approach and an integral part of our programme of improvements.

“We are also keen to support independent businesses and our flexible letting strategy means that we can have sensible conversations with occupiers to get deals done.”

The letting, which was completed by local retail agents Robertson Brown, is for a five year term.

It is the second letting of the year at the building, following the relocation of local entrepreneurs James Villereal and Sandeep Krishan’s business, Glide, to Alpha Tower in March.

Lloyd Waldron-Perkins, founding director of Cre8tiv, said: “This is our first city centre operation and in our property search it was really important to identify a location which was visible and easy to get to.

“As we launch our first ‘walk in’ service, we looked at numerous building in the city including the Jewellery Quarter and Digbeth, but none of these options gave us the strong retail presence in the right postcode.

Alongside traditional design and print for commercial and personal purposes, Cre8tiv also offers digital marketing and web optimisation services.

The store is due to open in May and will employ 10 people.
