IQ secures Fish4Dogs as new client

Worcestershire-based PR firm Marketing IQ has secured global pet food company Fish4Dogs as a new client.

The firm helped Fish4Dogs with their publicity for Crufts 2009, held earlier this month, by securing pre-publicity for their trade stand and producing an exhibition pack.

Marketing IQ director Angela Baker said: “Balanced behaviour through balanced nutrition is important for the lifestyle of any animal and Fish4Dogs’ promotion of training as part of its ethos in areas such as the sponsorship of the Kidderminster Dog Agility Team for example, leads to a happy lifestyle for both dog and owner and promotes responsible dog ownership.”

Based at the Rushock Estate between Droitwich and Kidderminster, Fish4Dogs was founded in 2004 by husband and wife team, Jill and Robert Angell.

Both worked for over 15 years as consultants in the seafood industry and seeing the wastage that occurred in the sector, the pair went on to examine ways in which the waste product could be used. Ms Angell realised that the petfood market under-used fish as an ingredient in their products.

She and her husband then went on to research the benefits of feeding fish to pets and now Fish4Dogs is now one of the leading petfood companies in the UK. From its Worcestershire premises, it now exports to more than 30 countries.
