Law firm HBJ Gateley Wareing has new communications manager

International law firm HBJ Gateley Wareing has appointed Perry Buck to the new role of communications manager.

Mr Buck joins the law firm from Midland communications agency Word Association where he was public relations director. He is an award-winning journalist and public relations professional with 20 years experience across different public and commercial sectors.

He said: “I am passionate about promoting Birmingham and the importance of the professional services sector to the city, especially in the current economic climate.

“Birmingham has over 80,000 people working in the professional services sector; the second largest such concentration in the country.

“What this means in reality is thousands and thousands of people living and working in the city centre supporting shops, bars, restaurants and transport – contributing hugely to the city’s economic and cultural life and adding the kind of vibrancy which the city is rightly famous for.

“This is a sector that will be increasingly important in the future.”
