OWB to construct promotion campaign for Fixings Plus
A Digbeth marketing and design agency has been appointed by a local construction supply firm to create a new catalogue to lift its profile on a national level.
OWB has won the contract from Fixings Plus, based in Aston, to develop the new product catalogue and online strategy in a bid to highlight the wide range of products it supplies for the construction industry.
Fixings Plus managing director Russell Fincham said the company had decided to invest in the future despite the tough economic conditions which had hit the construction industry hard.
“Whilst we are a Midlands based company and have a very successful business model, we recognise the need to lift our profile on a local and national level,” he said.
“The introduction of a new 300-page catalogue and improved website are part of our five year strategy to drive Fixings Plus to the next level.”
Fixings Plus was established in 2004 and provides specialist construction products from its 10,000 sq ft premises carrying £250,000 worth of stock.
The company delivers across the Midlands using its own fleet of vehicles but across the UK the firm uses a next-day delivery service.
Commenting on the win, Andrew Wilkinson, managing director of OWB, said: “It is truly rewarding to be tasked to work with such an ambitious local business.
“Our innovative approach to the product catalogue and knowledge of the construction sector will ensure the business will achieve its ambitious growth targets”.
The win comes after a successful start to the year for the Digbeth agency, which is growing internationally through membership of ComVort, a marketing communications network which OWB said would allow it to work with several clients on their international marketing campaigns.
OWB earlier this year launched the new website for The Belfry Sporting Club – www.belfrysportingclub.co.uk – one of the oldest dinner sporting clubs in the area.
Based at the Belfry Hotel and Golf Course, the club was founded in the 1970s and celebrates some of the greatest sporting names.
The agency has also recently launched a website for MacIntyre, a national charity for adults and children with learning disabilities who turned to OWB to build a new website.
The new website is the starting point in a new communications campaign for MacIntyre.
It provides information for parents, care workers and key stakeholders and to showcase and celebrate the success of the charity.
The site is driven by a purpose designed content management system allowing remote authoring of content and a clean uncluttered design giving quick access to key information.
Other clients that the firm has worked with include agricultural engineering business and leading John Deere distributor AIS Agricultural Services and Mark Beaumont, the world record holding around-the-world cyclist and adventurer.
