Big Communications founder to guide Rave

Rave Communications has appointed a cofounder of Leceister advertising agency Big Communications to help guide it through a phase of growth and strategy refocus.

The agency has taken on Mark Firth, also a founding director of Fuse Digital, to help with its consumer brand offering.

Mr Firth has developed a wealth of major brands including WKD and Princes Foods, managed the strategic direction of his previous agencies and won a host of industry awards.

Rave managing director John Wilford said: “We are very excited to welcome Mark on board at Rave.

“He brings a wealth of creative skills and experience to assist us in radically growing our business.

“After 10 years, Rave is being reinvented to focus on major consumer campaigns and growing our education marketing offering.

“Mark will be an important guide and mentor.

“We have a number of major strategic initiatives that we will be undertaking in the next few years and Mark’s knowledge and track record will help us on our journey.”

Mr Firth said: “Rave is a well-established agency with a great track record, yet its culture remains young and vibrant.

“The talent that exists at Rave simply needs focusing on bigger brands.

“I know I can make a positive contribution and look forward to working with John and his team.”

Rave, which recently picked up two Cream Awards for its work for Victory Motorcycles, has also created hard-hitting campaigns for the likes of Corgi, Carlsberg, IRWIN Tools, Graco and Zanussi, as well as recently securing the PR account for Showcase Cinemas and sister brand Showcase Cinema de Lux.
