Marketing firm Big Cat has won a contract with Glide Utilities to run a social media campaign targeting students living in shared accommodation.
The agency has been drafted in by the energy and telecommunications firm to deliver a brand building campaign which raises awareness of its services.
Birmingham-based Glide divides household bills for those living in shared accommodation ensuring they only pay what they owe.
The campaign, which kicks off in April, encourages students to upload content to various social media platforms, detailing their stories about living with housemates. The idea, entitled Housemates from Hell, will run through the final university semester, targeting students who are looking for accommodation for the following year.
Anthony Tattum, managing director of Big Cat Group, said: “Glide is a truly unique idea for a business and we’re very excited to be working alongside them. The past few years have seen Glide move from strength to strength, monopolising on a market which has gone untouched for years.
“Big Cat has been brought in to assist in raising brand awareness through social media, an area in which we have built considerable experience in over the years.”
James Villarreal, chief executive of Glide said: “With a new brand and website launching imminently and a new focus, we felt it was an opportune time to push our brand through additional platforms such as social media. We have known Big Cat for some time and following a number of discussions and briefings, we felt that they would deliver the results in order to take Glide to the next level.”
