Keelys helps in Electronic Business Systems purchase

Lichfield law firm Keelys has acted for the management team in the purchase of Electronic Business Systems (EBS) – an IT solutions company based in Tyburn Road, Birmingham.

Keelys’ managing partner, Daniel Keane undertook the legal work involved in the management buy out for Jason Tullah, who has taken on the role of managing director and Richard Torr who remains as sales director. The company was acquired from the owner Fred Chamberlain for an undisclosed amount.

The legal work carried out by Mr Keane and the corporate team at Keelys involved negotiating the acquisition agreement and organising the funding documentation. Keelys worked with Andy Morris of Dains who was responsible for arranging the corporate finance funding for the deal.

EBS, which offers off-the-shelf and bespoke packages to provide a complete IT service, was incorporated in 1980 and has over 1000 system installations countrywide.

It is a fully accredited Microsoft Solutions Provider and is one of the longest accredited Sage Solution and Development Centres with more than 500 users.
