Linford C-Zero makes green move to Birmingham city centre

Sustainable housing provider Linford C-Zero has made a green move of its own by relocating to city centre offices.

Formerly located at Fort Dunlop, the fledgling business has left the offices that house its mother company the Linford Group, and has set up in the penthouse at Grosvenor House, Bennett’s Hill.

C-Zero director Simon Linford, said: “These are really exciting times for us and the office relocation means we can move forward with the next phase of company growth. C-Zero has the capacity to deliver projects nationwide so Birmingham city centre is the ideal base for us, New Street Station is a stone’s throw from our new office.”

Sustainable, low-carbon living is high on the agenda for all parties in the run-up to the General Election and Mr Linford said he believes that current efforts to address carbon issues in both housing and transport were a good thing for the country as a whole.

He added: “The proposed high-speed rail link between London and Birmingham which is currently under consultation will greatly assist Birmingham in becoming more integrated with the capital. It’s also widely accepted that rail travel is a far more environmentally friendly option than travelling by road.”

C-Zero is working on developing affordable sustainable housing. Its first scheme at Diss, Norfolk, created 114 sustainable homes for local people.
