Hammonds appoints Simon Best to planning team

Hammonds has appointed a new senior lawyer to its planning team. Simon Best joins the firm as senior associate from Warwick District Council where he was head of Legal Services.
He was the primary legal adviser to the District Council’s Planning Committee, where he managed the delivery of legal services to support its work on major projects including the Clarendon Arcade, a major retail redevelopment project in Leamington Spa.
The planning team at Hammonds works on all aspects of planning law and regularly acts on a variety of proposals including major infrastructure proposals, urban regeneration projects, energy generation, transmission and distribution, and retail, business, industrial, distribution, residential and leisure schemes.
