Shoosmiths has made 13 promotions at its Birmingham office.

Head of Birmingham-based construction team Simon Wain becomes a partner, along with commercial litigator Helen Pickford, head of Birmingham-based personal injury team Sara Hunt, and medical negligence specialist Phil Barnes.

Tim Willis from the planning department, Charles Williams from insolvency and Antonia Blackwell from employment are promoted to the newly created level of senior associate.

Elsewhere, made up to the associate position are Heidi Brennan from the construction department, Helen Martin from construction, David Perry from real estate, Natalie Owen from real estate, Craig Downhill from property litigation and Stephen Lesley from insolvency.
