Birmingham law firm Challinors has acquired Nottingham specialist divorce and family law practice Rosleys Solicitors.
Rosleys has a lengthy association with the East Midlands city, having ben there for 27 years.
Rosleys’ founder John Rosley, partner Claire McLeod, who has been with the practice since 1997, and its six support staff, all move to Challinors.
The practice will continue to operate from its offices in Nottingham’s Bridlesmith Gate, and will be headed by Pramila Meghani, who joined Challinors as an associate last month from Fraser Brown, where she was head of the family team for 18 years.
Challinors opened its first East Midlands office at Colwick in 2008, with a civil and commercial litigation team dedicated to the region, headed by partners Jeremy Hale and Michael Knibbs.
Challinors’ chief executive Andy Hodges said the latest acquisition is a significant step in the company’s plans to build a complementary family team in the region.
“The appointment of Pramila, a well experienced and highly regarded specialist family lawyer, has given Challinors a dynamic lead for our East Midlands family law team, as well as an exceptional additional resource to our team operating throughout the Midlands.” he said.
