Goodyear Dunlop's new retail director

Goodyear Dunlop – the owner of Birmingham-based Dunlop Tyres – has appointed a new retail director.

Juergen Titz has started the new job after masterminding the firm’s fleet business division in Germany and was also responsible for leading the firm’s European retail strategy.

Mr Titz has been at Goodyear Dunlop for 11 years, and has been a key advisor in the growth of the HiQ franchise – the retail division of the firm – as part of his pan-European role.

He is planning to move to the UK on a full-time basis with his wife and two children.

The growth of the HiQ franchise programme was one of the UK tyre industry’s success stories in 2008, with the network celebrating the signing of its 100th franchise store partnership after its launch in March last year..

Mark Brickhill, the firm’s group managing director, said: “Juergen’s experience of fleet management and retail development across Europe will play a key role in Goodyear Dunlop’s drive to grow our own HiQ National Franchise Programme in the UK.
