Dry cleaner Johnson helped by lower costs

The owner of dry cleaner Johnson said a crackdown on costs was helping the chain protect profits amid tough high street conditions.
Johnson Service Group said like-for-like sales were below hopes in the first half of 2009, but running costs are £100,000 a week less than in November – which “significantly” reduced the blow to profits.
