Plant firm Jarvis hit by a £6.3m loss

Rail and plant firm Jarvis has slumped to a loss of £6.3 million after delays to Network Rail spending forced it to downsize its business.

Jarvis took restructuring and redundancy costs of £8.1 million in the year to March 31, which it said followed the rail operator’s surprise decision to delay spending in the first year of its £4 billion track renewals programme.
