Video show to boost business profiles in the West Midlands
The Birmingham Post is set to launch a new video show profiling businessmen and women across the West Midlands.
Entitled "Starter for Ten", the show will put a series of ten questions to willing interviewees, with topics ranging from best and worst career decisions to fondest childhood memories and favourite city eateries.
And executives will also get the chance to say what they would do if they were leader of Birmingham City Council.
Each weekly show, which will be no longer than two minutes in length, will feature on the birminghampost.net homepage before being archived on the "Starter for Ten" video channel on www.birminghampost.net.
Each individual show will be available for publishing on other websites and blogs completely free of charge.
Alun Thorne, Editor of the Birmingham Post, said: "The Pen Portrait feature in the Birmingham Post was a really popular element of the old daily Post and we felt that it would transfer extremely well on to video and really add something different and exciting to the Post's online content.
"To ensure the concept stays fresh and relevant we have devised a new set of questions that are the same mix of the serious and the irreverent and we are confident that, like the old Pen Portrait, it will throw up some interesting opinions and continue to offer a unique snapshot of the thoughts of the city's professional community."
