Administrators have said that one of Birmingham’s top hotels will continue to trade as normal despite having gone into administration.

Ernst & Young were appointed to the Hyatt Regency off Broad Street on Friday.

The hotel is owned by the Bhatia family as is the Waldorf in London which called in administrators in May. According to reports the Bhatia family may be lining up to buy back one or both hotels.

A spokesman for the E&Y said it was working to ensure “business as usual while we seek a buyer for the hotel as a going concern”.
