Lichfield PR guru Ian Strachan – displaying his considerable engineering expertise – tells me he’s worked out how those British and French nuclear submarines came to collide with each other in the mid-Atlantic recently.
“I saw pictures of the submarines on the television, and they’ve got no windows,” he said.
“Obvious really, isn’t it?”

And while she is about 4ft 6in, it is something like 6ft 4in.
