Community regeneration specialist Frank Haslam Milan West Midlands is branching out into new markets after securing a contract to begin a scheme which has been named ‘the Western Gateway’ redevelopment of the YMCA in West Bromwich.
The Coleshill-based firm, which specialises in regenerating social housing, delivering new build projects and extra care, has been awarded £900,000 to help transform the charity’s base in the centre of West Bromwich.
As part of the package, FHM – which forms part of the Keepmoat group of companies – will extend the YMCA to accommodate a new day nursery and create a youth centre for public use.
The new facilities are expected to help the YMCA achieve an even higher Ofsted rating for its childcare facilities.
Andrew Clayton, the commercial manager at FHM West Midlands, said: “This is a very exciting contract win for FHM as it demonstrates just how diverse we are as a company.”
West Bromwich YMCA at Carters Green has served the community for over 120 years providing childcare and supported accommodation.
