Two of the best loved charities in Wolverhampton have received a welcome cash boost from a local building society.

Staff from The Tipton recently presented charity workers from Beacon Centre for the Blind and Compton Hospice with cheques for £1017.50 each.

A total of £517.50 for both charities was raised from the Tipton 5k fun run, Tipton Carnival and the society’s dragon boat race with an additional £500 coming from the Tipton’s Charitable Foundation.
