A Birmingham car park operator has donated £500 to a city theatre’s new stage appeal.
Phillip Grant, managing director of Gallan Parking, part of the Gallan Group, handed over a cheque to staff at the Birmingham Hippodrome. Gallan manages eight car parks in the city, including two at Southside close to the theatre.
The Hippodrome aims to raise £1 million to replace its worn out stage last refurbished in the 1980s.
Mr Grant said: “As a provider of secure parking for visitors to the Hippodrome, we are delighted to support an initiative that will ensure the city remains a centre of top-class entertainment.”
Martin Guest, managing director of the Birmingham office of property consultants CBRE and a director of the Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre Development Trust, added: “We are delighted to have another one of Birmingham’s businesses supporting one of our best entertainment assets.”
