Internet creates 'want it now' culture

Business customers are more demanding and expect quicker responses, according to a new report today which identified a "want it now" culture in industry.

A survey of almost 800 businessmen and women also found that "dead" time spent travelling on work business or waiting for meetings to start cost smaller firms an average of £60,000 a year.

The report, by T-Mobile, showed that red tape was mentioned as another barrier to improved productivity.

Derek Williamson of T-Mobile said: "The rise of the internet has given birth to a ‘want it now’ culture - customers expect an immediate response to every inquiry."
