Prince’s Trust helps thousands to find work

Dear Editor, Yesterday’s Centre for Cities report warned that youth unemployment is set to treble by 2011.

Birmingham is one of the cities with the highest increase in the percentage of young people claiming Jobseekers Allowance in the past 15 months.

Charities like The Prince’s Trust need support now more than ever to help young people find jobs. In the past year, calls from young people to our local offices have increased more than 50 per cent and we want to be able to support those people in need.

The Trust has helped thousands of the region’s unemployed young people, giving them the confidence and motivation to find work.

Without these schemes, too many young people face a downward spiral towards a loss of self-confidence and even crime. To find out more about The Prince’s Trust go to www.princes-trust.org.uk or call 0800 842 842.
