Kate Middleton, rational belief, and the nature of our royalty

Dear Editor, Now that Kate Middleton has been confirmed in the Church Of England could she please answer the following questions:

How could anyone born in the 20th century come to believe that Jesus was actually born of a virgin?

What process of ratiocination delivered the necessary facts about a Galilean woman’s sexual history?

It is quite obvious that Kate has nothing to go on but that book of Iron Age philosophy entitled the Bible.

Is there any doubt that a lone subscriber to Christian beliefs would be considered mad? When a multitude of people hold these beliefs we consider them “religious”.

When a member of the religious multitude marries a rich young Prince we consider her to be royalty.
