Duran Duran announce new date for Birmingham LG Arena

Duran Duran have announced a new date for the Birmingham concert they were forced to cancel when vocalist Simon Le Bon suffered a throat infection.

The Brummie pop legends will now perform their home town date at the LG Arena on December 2.

They were originally due to appear on May 21, but the All You Need Is Now show could not go ahead as Le Bon had been diagnosed with laryngitis and needed to rest his voice.

Fans can use tickets for the original show for the new gig.

Bass player John Taylor said: “Given the fact we’d missed the dates in May, we wanted to do something really special for the fans pre-Christmas.

“It’s taken us a minute to clear dates in the venues, as this is obviously an incredibly busy time of year, but finally we’ve been able to make it work and cannot wait to get there.”

The rescheduled date is part of the band’s first full UK arena tour in seven years.

Extra tickets are available from theticketfactory.com or by calling The Ticket Factory on 0844 338 8000.
