Broad Street restaurant Pushkar expands and hires two new managers

Indian restaurant Pushkar Cocktail Bar & Dining on Broad Street in Birmingham is to expand into vacant premises next door to create a private dining area for a further 70 diners.

Pushkar has taken over the Miss Latte coffee shop and hope to finish work at the end of May.

The restaurant has also appointed two new staff, bar manager Georgi Mitkov and floor manager Vanya Mitkova.

Pushkar’s Creative Director Rai Singh said: “All the team have worked so hard for this and we feel that this expansion is a testament to our hard work and the Pushkar brand.

"I really feel that Pushkar is truly setting the standard for others to follow and that our new dining area will be very popular with private parties, corporate events and functions.”

New bar manager Mr Mitkov, aged 29, has 11 years experience and has worked in Palma and Dubai.

Ms Mitkova, also 29, has more than a decades experience and has spent the past five years working in Dubai.
