CHRIS Hughton saluted his European heroes after another stunning away victory in the Europa League.
And he admitted that the welfare of defender Pablo was just as important as the three points that put Blues in a great position in Group H.
Pablo was knocked unconscious after suffering a heavy blow to his cheek with eight minutes to go.
He landed on his head and Blues players recoiled in horror and Guirane N’Daw appeared to be in tears.
But expert medical treatment from Blues physio George Cooper and Doctor Mike Stone ensured that Pablo got swift attention on the pitch.
And the Spaniard had recovered sufficiently afterwards to fly home with the squad without hospital treatment.
“Pablo was a real concern for us so we’re very happy it was just concussion and he’s OK,” said Hughton. “We feared the worst, as you always do with incidents like that.
“He was unconscious for four minutes. Fortunately it worked out OK. We’re delighted for him. He also had a very good game – and also thinks he scored the winner!
“It is as big for us as the win, Pablo being OK. It’s always a difficult moment. His health comes before football.
