Shock for West Brom as Bougherra joins Rangers

West Bromwich Albion have had Charlton defender Madjid Bougherra snatched from under their noses with the Algerian signing for Rangers.

The 25-year-old joined the Glasgow giants for £2.5million, less than 24 hours after the Baggies had their £2million bid accepted by Charlton.

Bougherra completed a medical at Rangers' training ground Murray Park before signing a four-year deal on Thursday night.
