There's more to come from keeper Carson, says West Brom boss

“Sometimes you have to overcome a bit of resistance to the things you ask them to do, but if he keeps persevering I would like to think we can improve him.”
The draw at The Hawthorns has left Albion seven points adrift of safety with eight games remaining and their next home game against bogey side Stoke City in just over a week’s time is now a certain must-win.
Failure to beat the Potters, who seem to hold an Indian sign over Albion, could more or less end their hopes of beating the drop back to the Championship, but Carson believes they can still pull off a remarkable escape.
“I think the feeling is one of two points dropped against Bolton,” he said.
“To be fair we showed great character to come back from going a goal down and probably should have come out of it with three points.
“We have had a lot of possession in a lot of games but not been able to kill teams off. When you do that in the Premier League it’s really hard to contain sides for 90 minutes because you know there will be at least a 20-minute period where they will dominate.
“We went 1-0 down and earlier this season we might have conceded a second and third goal but we showed character – and I thought the fans were brilliant.
“We are still full of hope and belief that we can still pick up four or five wins. It’ll be hard but stranger things have happened.
“In the last two games we’ve been unlucky to only take two points but we have to keep going and get the wins we need.”
