Jonas Olsson insists West Brom have got what it takes to survive

“I think we are playing well and looking for that win to really get into contact with the teams above.
“If we take four or six points from the next two games then we are really in contention again and everyone else starts to feel us coming up behind them. It would add some pressure to their game.
“You can’t turn away from reality or close your eyes to the facts. We are bottom of the table and if you ask someone who is going to go down they are going to say us of course. That is just the reality.
“But I honestly believe we will get out of trouble.
“I have never been relegated. I haven’t imagined what it will be like because that will only give me negative thoughts. I am just really focused on staying up.”
Olsson admits his unwavering belief may seem hard to believe because of the current run of results but he said they don’t tell the full story.
Albion have played reasonably well against both West Ham and Bolton and arguably should have gained more than their two-point return.
That is why Olsson is so confident they can put together a run capable of pushing them up the table.
“When you play well you still feel that there is something to build on,” he said. “If you get smashed and you don’t have the ball at all then you feel that you can’t do it.
“We feel we have the basics and just need to work on small details. We can build on that.
“We know we should have got more points from the last two games but that is football and in the long term, normally, it is going to even out.”
