SHANE Long looks certain to miss Albion’s next two games as he continues his injury comeback.
The striker has been sidelined for the past four weeks after chipping a bone in his knee following a challenge from Villa’s Alan Hutton.
Saturday’s game against Bolton at The Hawthorns will come too soon and the 24-year-old will also be pushed to make it in time for the home clash with Tottenham a week later.
Long has been in training every day since picking up the injury and boss Roy Hodgson has praised his work ethic but believes he is still a few weeks off a full recovery.
“Shane has worked unbelievably hard,” said Hodgson.
“He has had no days off since it happened and no-one could have done more to give himself a chance.
“He is certainly not behind schedule.
“Our medical department said four to six weeks and four weeks would be now.
