Uncertainty at Wolves is being addressed, says Karl Henry

There was no real surprise to Karl Henry being offered, and then signing a new four year contract at Wolves.

And there’ll be no real surprise when Stale Solbakken confirms the 29-year-old as his new captain.

The problems at Wolves amount to the uncertainty elsewhere: Steven Fletcher, Matt Jarvis and Dorus de Vries to name but three areas. According to Henry, those issues may be looked upon as a distraction – but they are being taken care of.

“There has been some uncertainty at Wolves which has been well documented and mentioned by the manager but it is being addressed,” he said. “It is a case of getting everyone back together and ready for the new season, because we need that team spirit which is so important in this division,” he said.

“Once everyone is focused and on the same page we will have a much better chance of being in the promotion race. As the manager has said, it is going to be difficult for a couple of weeks until we know which players are staying and which might be moving on. But we will all knuckle down and get on with it and try to pick up results.

“We all know what the formula is for picking up points in this division and we will all be trying hard to do it – over the next few weeks and when the transfer window is closed.”

Henry says Stale Solbakken and first team coach Johan Lange will need time to get their ideas across.
