A motorcyclist has been airlifted to a major trauma centre after a crash in Warwickshire.
The 42-year-old rider was on the Coleshill to Furnace End road near to the Horse and Jockey pub with a number of other riders when he left the road and collided with a telegraph pole.
A paramedic officer, a rapid response vehicle and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance were sent to the scene after a 999 call at just after 1pm on Wednesday.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, ambulance staff found a 42 year old man who had suffered quite serious injuries.
“He had fractures to his pelvis and leg and staff were also concerned about spinal injuries. He was immobilised using a neck collar, spinal board and had his fractures splinted.
“The man was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire where medics were on standby for his arrival.”
