Solihull bank robberies: Police release CCTV image of suspect

POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with two bank robberies in Solihull.

The man entered NatWest on High Street, Knowle, at around 3pm on Friday 8 June. He showed the cashier an empty holdall but fled after a panic alarm was pressed.

Just over an hour later at 4.15pm it is believed the man visited Nationwide on Stratford Road, in Shirley. A cashier handed over an amount of cash after the man made threats, saying he had a gun.

He is described as black, between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build. He was aged about 30 and wore a dark coloured beanie hat and a heavy duty high-visibility jacket with the hood up.
