Woman dies after M40 crash
A woman has died following a crash on the M40 this morning.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the northbound carriageway of the M40 at its junction with the M42 shortly after 6.25am today.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival at the scene crews found a car and a lorry that had been in collision.
“Crews immediately assessed the driver of the car, a woman, unfortunately it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save the woman and she was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
“No one else was injured in this incident.”
