Two-year-old girl with bowel disorder dies in Birmingham hospital

A Midland toddler who inspired thousands to join the organ donor register has died.

Two-year-old Bethany Dawson, from Cannock, underwent surgery last December to correct a rare condition which saw her born with her bowels outside her body.

She died suddenly last Thursday at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
