Swine flu medicine collection point moves to Selly Oak
The collection point for antiviral medicines in South Birmingham for people diagnosed with swine flu are to move from Stirchley to Selly Oak.
The facilities for swine flu medicine at Charlotte Road Health Centre, Stirchley, will be transferred to the NHS walk-in centre in Katie Road, Selly Oak.
The change will take effect on Thursday, February 18, a week after the closure of the National Pandemic Flu Service’s online Swine Flu assessment tool and telephone assessment service on February 11.
From Friday, February 19, antiviral collection will be managed by the regular team at Katie Road walk-in centre.
Individuals with swine flu symptoms will be advised to contact their GP who will direct them to the walk-in centre for assessment and issue of antivirals if appropriate.
