Redditch body in a suitcase inquest to begin
The inquest into the death of a disabled man whose decomposed remains were found in a suitcase at his Worcestershire home is set to begin.
James Hughes, 22, was found dead in the garden of the home he shared with his mother, Heather Wardle, 39, and her partner in Redditch following a five-day search.
Mr Hughes was severely disabled and was reported missing at the same time as his mother in April. He was found dead less than 48 hours after Ms Wardle's body was discovered at the base of a tree with a ligature around her neck.
She was found less than half a mile away from the family home in dense undergrowth off Winyates Way, Church Hill.
Ms Wardle's partner, Brian Kirby, 36, and his 17-year-old stepson were arrested on suspicion of Mr Hughes's murder but later released without charge.
The inquest into Mr Hughes's death will take place at the coroner's court in Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire, and is expected to last up to three days.
A full inquest into Ms Wardle's death is scheduled to follow directly afterwards.
