Pensioner stabbed at Warwick Hospital
A man is in police custody after a pensioner was stabbed at Warwick Hospital.
The 69-year-old woman was visiting a patient when she was knifed in the back on Monday night.
A Warwickshire Police spokeswoman said the victim was in the main entrance of the hospital when she was attacked shortly before 7.45pm.
She also sustained a cut to the hand and remains in hospital in a serious but not life threatening condition.
A 40-year-old man was arrested "a few moments" after the stabbing in nearby Lakin Road, police said. Officers also recovered a knife from the scene.
