Man charged with Warwick Hospital stabbing
A man has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a woman who was stabbed at Warwick Hospital.
Andrew Chinery, 39, of Lakin Road, Warwick, was remanded in custody by magistrates in Nuneaton after being charged with attacking the 69-year-old woman.
The woman, who police did not name, is still in hospital receiving treatment for hand and shoulder injuries.
Warwickshire Police said Chinery has also been charged with a second count of attempted murder concerning an unrelated incident in Warwick on New Year's Eve. He is due to appear at Warwick Crown Court on February 16.
