Man found dead in Birmingham canal

A man has died after being discovered face down in a Birmingham canal.

Two fire crews were called to the incident in Water Street, Old Snow Hill, at around 7.40pm yesterday, where they found the man face down in the canal.

They then attempted to resuscitate the man but he was confirmed dead by paramedics at the scene.
