Man in court for stabbing Black Country newsagent during robbery

A 23-year-old man was due in court today accused of assaulting a Walsall newsagent.

The 53-year-old, Harinder Dhadli, suffered stab wounds on Saturday night at Kendrick News in Kendrick Road, Moxley, and remains in a stable condition.

A man has been charged with assault with intent to rob, grevious bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon. He was due to appear at Walsall Magistrates Court.
